Das W Hotel in Barcelona

Das W Hotel hat es mir in der Tat angetan mit seiner tollen Architektur und diese auch noch in Verbindung mit dieser unglaublich tollen Lage direkt am Strand von Barcelona. Ähnlich wie der Marco-Polo-Tower in Hamburgs HafenCity, den ich bereits aus diversen Perspektiven vor die Linse genommen habe und zuletzt künstlerisch bearbeitet habe (Marco-Polo-Tower ART.). Das W Hotel Barcelona habe ich anfang des Jahres in einer leicht bearbeiten Fassung hier im Photoblog gezeigt. Mir war wichtig in diesem Bild die Elemente in eine stärkere Verbindung zu bringen, den Strand, den Himmel, die prägnante Form des Hotels und das reichlich vorhandene Licht aber auch die langen Schatten der Palmen an der Strandpromenade.  Die Effekte der Bearbeitung sind durch die Anwendung verschiedener übereinander gelegter Filter entstanden.

The W Hotel in Barcelona is really fascinating me with its amazing architecture and this in connection with the unbelievable location at the beach of Barcelona. Like the Marco-Polo Tower in the HafenCity of Hamburg I’ve capture multiple pictures from different perspectives and re-eingineered artistically as Marco-Polo-Tower ART. I’ve posted a picture  of the W Hotel Barcelona earlier this year in a version that was edited in a light toning. It was important for me to bring all elements closer together, the beach, the sky, the eye-catching form of the Hotel and also abundant light and the long shadows of the palm trees from the sea front. I reached the effects by layering different filters.
